The tracks on the latest album ‘Armies of Birds’ work as a complete journey – like staying in the same house but floating from one room to the next - at different times of the day and year.
Melding reference points from Post Punk, Prog, Minimalist and Jazz forms, these songs wind their way through pummelling growling basslines and celestial ambience, through to light-hearted hooks. Brooding and dark, through to mystic guitar generated melancholia. Many of the tracks were recorded in lockdown and allude to personal escapism and commentary on the current world situation.
